October 16, 2008

A brand new phishing message from phishers located in Belarus. The messages were coming from the 86.57.220.0 - 86.57.225.255 IP block which is managed by the Republican Unitary Enterprise BELTELECOM.

The phishers apparently taken over a domain and set up a fake page imitating the Bank of America online banking service’s layout, and asking the users to fill in a form in order to re-secure their accounts. The form asked for information like address, SSN, name, which on submit were sent to a Belarus server.

The message was the following (link removed):

Greetings.
