Phishing messages asking for Key Bank customers’ data

KeyBank is the 16th biggest bank in the United States with about 2 millions of customers.

Today new phishing messages flooded my public mail addresses, all coming apparently from KeyBank.
The message body is extremely blatant, it smells from miles that they are phishing messages.

All the messages were coming from a Pakistani address, from the 203.99.160.0 - 203.99.191.255 IP range which is managed by the Pakistan Telecommunication.

The messages contained one single link, pointing to a page which looked exactly like a KeyBank page. The form situated on the faked page was meant to steal the identity of the users.

The message was the following and similar:

KEY BANK ALERT SYSTEM! Updates available:
When you bank online with us, your information is encrypted. Encryption makes information unreadable in order to protect it from unauthorized viewing or use, especially during transmission.

Update your system now>>

For your security and ours, Key employs a robust industry standard for all encryption.
